The Bosphorus Bridge is a famous bridge across the Bosphorus Bay in Istanbul, Turkey.  This bridge is the reconciliation point between Asia and Europe and divides the city into two regions.

The Bosphorus Bridge, known as "Boğaziçi Köprüsü" in Turkish, was inaugurated on May 15, 1973 by Turkish Defense Minister Fatih Çatin and President of the Republic of Turkey Suleiman Demirel.

The bridge is 3,374 meters long and was built to cross the Bosphorus, the great river between Asia and Europe.  There are two lanes for traffic crossing the Bosphorus Bridge, one for southbound traffic and the other for northbound traffic.



This bridge is the first bridge built between Asia and Europe and the second bridge "Fatih Selim Koprusu" closes the other side of Istanbul, Turkey.  The Bosphorus Bridge attracts many tourists every year to see with interest and enjoy the beautiful scenery while crossing it.

On the banks of the Bosphorus, people find coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants mixed with tea, pastries and biscuits.  A very famous Bosphorus food is falafel which is called "Falifel" in Urdu.  It is served with cold bread, gram, salad, chutney and vegetables.

Other famous Bosphorus foods include Dum Bukar meat, Bokhara, kebabs, kofta, burgers, pizza, biryani, spicy soups and other delicacies.
